Today I thought to myself, how can I celebrate my mother while at the same time celebrate all mothers around the world. It dawned on me. What a better way to celebrate a mother than to make sure her child is taken care of. There are so many mothers around the world living in conditions that make it virtually impossible for them to care for their children. That must be the most horrible and heartbreaking feeling for any mother. So today I decided to make a contribution to UNICEF. If we all make just a small donation today we can make a huge impact on mothers around the world. Instead of running out to the nearest Hallmark for the standard Mother's Day card and Precious Moments figurine....Donate to needy mothers and children in your mom's name. I guarantee this will make her melt. Let's start thinking about all the ways a holiday like this can be a tool for change.
